But here I am going to introduce you some stages which are generally common in every funnel.

Stages of a funnel:

Awareness:

This is the most common stage at the beginning of a funnel where you want to make people (probable customers)aware of your brand or products you sell or services you provide.

At this stage you may even capture their contact details such as email or mobile number etc which helps you to contact them directly and results in  more personalized approach.

Interest:

At this stage ,people who already know your brand are nurtured by providing valuable information to them.

Action:

At this stage , your probable customer is presented with an offer related to your product or service you offer.

This  Implies him to take action such as buying your product or subscription of the service you offer to them.

In every funnel ,it involves one or more of digital marketing activities to be performed  such as SEO or Content Creation etc at each stage.

Every stage of funnel is optimized based on the results they obtain based on the goals met in terms of various key performance indicators.

For example in the awareness stage you may want just want to run advertisements promoting yours here you may have key performance indicators as how many people reached for particular amount of money spent digitally.

Advantages of funnel:

It helps you make data driven decisions by analysing the key performance indicators data at various stages of the funnel.

Optimizations can be done at every stage using A/B testing strategy.

Following are some of the basic terms used as a  part of funnel.

Lead Magnet:

It is a ebook or video or any thing which is offered generally free in exchange to the contact details of the person.

Trip wire:

It is a low cost product offered to the people who already exchanged their details with lead magnet .

If a person buys a trip wire the chances for him to become your customer is high.

Core offer:

This would be the main product that you wanted to sell the customer.

Upsell:

This offer is given to person after he makes a purchase so that to increase your average order value.

Tools:

One can map the funnel in a simple power point..

There are various tools which can help you implement and track all stages of your customer such as clickfunnels.

Funnels are the real focus as a part of the digital marketing strategy to improve your business through digital marketing.
